The 2011 model year brings a number of refreshing to the Nissan lineup, including the Rogue crossover. This updated model will arrive in showrooms beginning in mid-August.

Most notable are the changes to the Rogue’s front fascia. The grille has become much bolder to mimic that of the larger Nissan Murano. The fog-lamps have also been restyled with a more dramatic, sculpted appearance. Buyers of the SL and S Krōm Edition models can also opt for sporty 18-inch wheels. Crossovers are now making up a large percentage of the used vehicle market, according to Used Trucks Seattle.

Another notable change is a modest improvement in fuel economy. The front-wheel-drive model is now rated at 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway while the all-wheel-drive variant manages 22/26 mpg. Better mileage is always a welcome improvement, Maryland Nissan says.

The updated 2011 Nissan Rogue will make its first public appearance this weekend in Nashville, Tenn., at the annual Z Car Convention.
