Everyone’s Favorite Crossover: the 2010 Nissan Murano

by Nissan in the News on May 5, 2010

Nissan redesigned and reengineered the Murano for 2009, and 2010 looks to be just a promising for the SUV. Competing with the GMC Terrain, Ford Edge, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander, the 2010 Nissan Murano is a viable option competing head to head with its competitors, but one thing alone sets it above the rest. It’s a Nissan.

Under the hood, expect to find a VQ35DE – 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine with 265 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. This engine is complimented nicely by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) making the Murano quicker than expected. Performance wise, the Murano is everything you would want out of your SUV. For the inevitable dents and dings, there’s a collision center North Haven.

The 2010 Nissan Murano comes with four trims, the base model S, the SL, the SL with 360 degree Value Package, and the top end LE. Coming well-equipped, the S model highlights 18″ x 7.5″ 6-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, a dual-zone automatic climate control, LED taillights, chrome door handles, dual power outside mirrors, UV-reducing solar glass, rear privacy glass and a six-CD changer. Crossover shoppers at Tuscaloosa Nissan appreciate the feature enhancements of the new Murano.

On top of those options, for a little extra money, the SL model adds a few more creature comforts, including: fog lights, black roof rails, 8-way power driver’s seat, power return rear seatbacks, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The top of the line LE comes standard with just about every option on the Murano’s list.

For fuel economy, expect around 18 miles per gallon city driving and about 23 miles per gallon highway on all models. It’s the level of fuel economy shoppers look for at Trenton Nissan.

Starting at around $28,000 the Nissan Murano is an extremely affordable option for those in the midsized SUV market.
