Nissan has one of the most diverse lineups of SUVs and crossovers available. But Nissan is not only producing innovative crossovers for U.S. consumers, as European car buyers also have a unique lineup of stylish vehicles to choose from.
In addition to the Nissan Qashqai, which is based on the same platform as the Nissan Rogue here in the States, Nissan has just confirmed a new crossover called the Juke will soon be added to the European lineup.
The Nissan Juke is slated to go on sale in Europe in autumn following its official debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March. The Juke will offer a compact hatchback body that should fill the void that was left by the Micra minicar, whose production has recently moved.
No plans are in place to ring the Nissan Juke to the U.S. With the popularity surrounding the Nissan Cube and the role it plays within the lineup, there may not be too much room for it, but of course much of that may depend on its success in the European market.
