All-New Nissan Juke Exceeds Expectations Overseas

When the Nissan Juke arrives in U.S. showrooms, it’s hard to say whether it will be much of a sensation. Its bold styling alone will likely scare many compact crossover buyers away. But if the Juke’s performance in Japan is any indication as to how it will perform here, it’ll probably still find plenty of demand, even despite its looks.

According to Nissan, the new Juke has already racked up 10,943 orders in Japan. That’s an impressive feat considering Nissan only planned for just 1,300 orders in its first month. But even in just the Juke’s first week on the market, Nissan reportedly had to contend with a staggering 5,296 orders.

Most customers have ordered the Juke with Radiant Red exterior paint, while the red interior color was also quite popular. Despite its youthful performance and design, Nissan also noted that 44 percent of all sales were attributed to buyers aged 50+.
