Kelley Blue Book Names Nissan Altima to 10 Best Sedans List

Offering “a brisk take on sporty sedans,” the fashionable and fuel-efficient Nissan Altima was recently selected as one of the 10 Best New Sedans under $25,000 by the experts at Kelley Blue Book. As noted on the KBB.com website, the recently redesigned Altima “offers both 182 willing horsepower and superb fuel economy,” along with “an artful interior with easy-on-your-back seats designed with NASA.”

The bottom line from KBB.com editors: “The Altima is one of the great new buys in the midsize sedan class.”

But the Nissan Altima delivers more than just the ability to hit 38 mpg on the highway. Nissan has also stuffed the car full of standard and available goodies, including:

  • Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling and audio streaming
  • The Nissan Connect infotainment/connectivity system
  • Navigation with real-time point-of-interest search from Google
  • Hands-free text-message integration
  • Nissan’s Advanced Drive-Assist Display instrumentation
  • Safety measures like blind-spot warning, land-departure warning and moving-object detection
  • An optional 270-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine

Further, this actually represents a double play of sorts for the Nissan Altima. The hot-selling sedan had previously been named to KBB.com’s honor roll of 10 Best Family Cars earlier in 2013.

“The Nissan Altima was re-created to emphasize what most people look for in a sedan,” said Jon Brancheau, vice president, Marketing, Nissan North America, Inc. “In the last year we’ve taken great strides to ensure that this vehicle is fuel efficient yet fun to drive, comfortable yet stylish, and innovative yet affordable. Being honored by Kelley Blue Book‘s KBB.com further validates all of our hard work and highlights our passion for developing innovative yet affordable products the public can depend on and enjoy.”
