With a combination of stellar fuel-economy ratings, sophisticated style and plenty of cargo space, the 2013 Nissan Altima makes an Ideal choice for customers who want a top-quality mid-size car. That’s right from the experts, too, since it was the team at AutoPacific that recently rated the Altima as the No. 1 choice in the Mid-Size Car category in the 2013 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVAs).
According to the well-known automotive consultancy, “AutoPacific’s IVAs measure the fusion between expectation, and reality. An ideal vehicle is one that meets owner’s expectations for the product when they acquired it. AutoPacific’s IVAs are quantitative gauges measuring how closely a vehicle matches an owner’s expectations. The buyers who are least likely to want to change their vehicle; they are driving their ‘ideal’ vehicle.”
Needless to say, a lot of them are driving the 2013 Nissan Altima. Sales of the car have been sizzling since its recent makeover, with deliveries hitting an all-time record for July last month. That’s when customers snapped up 29,534 new Nissan Altimas to drive sales for the month up by a healthy 11 percent; on a year-to-date basis, the Nissan Altima had outsold rivals ranging from the Ford Fusion to the Hyundai Sonata.
“In completely redesigning the Altima for the 2013 model year, we wanted to make sure that each customer need in this segment was addressed while neither skimping on fuel economy nor tech features,” said Fred Diaz, divisional vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing, Service & Parts, Nissan North America. “We’re thrilled to be recognized by AutoPacific, which further validates the tremendous sales we’ve seen with a product that’s also incredibly affordable, with a starting price of $21,860.”
