Nissan has revamped the Rogue crossover for 2010, but the biggest improvement is the addition of the Krom version which Nissan hopes will excite more buyers.
The Nissan Rogue Krom will be a more aggressive version of the otherwise timid Rogue, and it’s designed specifically to appeal to a male buyer. The Krom features an updated front fascia, mesh grille, rear spoiler, 17 inch alloy wheels, and even center-mounted exhaust pipes. The upgrades are intended to make the Rogue more masculine to help attract male buyers and generate additional sales.
The Nissan Rogue is a relatively new model within Nissan’s lineup. Introduced in 2007, it has remained a strong seller at Nissan North Wilkesboro and overall in the competitive compact crossover segment. However, buyers have been largely female. According to Nissan St Charles, overall Rogue sales average about 6,500 units per month.
The Nissan Krom Rogue is priced from about $23,000 and will officially go on sales on December 9. Two-wheel drive will come standard, with all-wheel drive also available. he Krom adds between $2,000 and $4,000 to the overall price of the Rogue.
